+ What is the Baobab Glow-C serum?
A Vitamin C serum infused with 8% Vitamin C concentrate, 2% Arbutin and African Baobab. Formulated to brighten and even the skin tone.
+ How do I use the serum?
We recommend using this serum after cleansing and toning (if you use one) your skin. Once your skin is dry, use a few pumps of product, rub it between your palms and apply it to your full face. It’s best to use the serum during the day right before sun exposure. Always ensure adequate sunscreen is used as the last step of your skincare routine. Before stepping out into the sun, ensure that all the product has been absorbed and your skin feels supple.
+ Can I use the serum twice a day?
Yes, you can use the serum after cleansing and toning in the morning and at night. Ensure you complete your skincare routine with sunscreen if applied in the morning. Vitamin C works extremely well with sunscreen to strengthen UV protection. At night, you can use the serum on cleansed and dry skin. Applying it on dry skin will prevent any irritation, especially if you have sensitive skin
+ Which ingredients can I mix with the serum?
You can mix a hydrating serum such as a Hyaluronic Acid serum or a Niacinamide Serum. Our recommendation would be to layer these serums either before or after the Vitamin C serum. However, keep in mind that your sunscreen should always be used as the last step and sunscreen should not be mixed with any other product.
+ Which ingredients should I not mix with the serum?
If you have sensitive skin, it’s best to avoid high concentration Alpha Hydroxy Acids such as Glycolic Acid or Lactic Acid. It’s also best to avoid any Retinoids such as Retinol as it can increase irritation. Keep in mind that you can certainly use these products on alternate days.
+ Who can use this Serum?
This product can be used on all skin types, addressing the specific skincare concerns for those that experience discolouration and/or dull and uneven skin.
+ Can I use this serum while pregnant or breastfeeding?
We have not tested this product on this specific population. Hence, we suggest that it’s best to check with your doctor before use.
+ Can I use this serum on sensitive skin?
Yes, you can use this product on sensitive skin. We recommend starting with a patch test on a small area of skin to see how your skin reacts before using it as a full face application. If any tingling occurs, reduce the amount of product you use each time. For example, instead of using two pumps, use just one pump. Alternatively, you can use it every other day.

+ What form of Vitamin C is in this serum?
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid
+ What is 3-0 Ethyl Ascorbic Acid?
A Vitamin C derivative. This means that it will be converted to L-Ascorbic Acid using our skin’s natural enzymes when used on the skin.
+ Why did we chose 3-0 Ethyl Ascorbic Acid?
While L-Ascorbic Acid is the only bioavailable form of Vitamin C, it's derivatives are still considered to be effective. All Vitamin C derivatives will first need to be converted to Vitamin C before they can work on the skin. Keep in mind that L-Ascorbic Acid is highly unstable and degrades upon exposure to light and air. Hence, Vitamin C derivatives are used as alternatives due to their increased stability.
+ What are active ingredients?
3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid - a Vitamin C derivative.
Arbutin - a skin brightener
Baobab - a skin soothing ingredient
+ Why did we add active ingredients?
Active ingredients are ingredients in a product with a specific intended purpose i.e. They address a specific skin concern.
+ Why is the serum packaged in an airless pump?
The serum is packed in an airless pump to protect the formulation from degradation due to heat and light. An airless pump will keep this product as stable as possible ensuring effective results on the skin.
